1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Squattest website and enrolling in our culinary courses, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all visitors, users, students, and others who access or use our services. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services or enroll in our courses.
2. Course Enrollment and Payment
Course enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment or approval of a payment plan. All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise specified.
- Payment is due at the time of enrollment unless other arrangements have been made
- Payment plans may be available for certain courses and are subject to approval
- Course materials, ingredients, and basic equipment are included in the course fee unless otherwise specified
- We reserve the right to modify course pricing with 30 days advance notice
- Additional costs for specialized equipment or premium ingredients will be clearly communicated before enrollment
3. Course Attendance and Completion
Regular attendance is essential for successful course completion and certification. Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions and participate actively in hands-on learning activities.
- Students must attend at least 80% of scheduled sessions to receive certification
- Make-up sessions may be available for excused absences, subject to instructor availability and space
- Students are responsible for bringing any personal items specified in course materials
- Tardiness may result in missed instruction; we cannot guarantee individual catch-up time
- Course completion certificates are issued upon successful completion of all requirements
4. Code of Conduct and Safety
All students are expected to maintain professional behaviour and respect for instructors, fellow students, and our facilities. We maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment for everyone.
- Respectful communication and behaviour is required at all times
- Students must follow all kitchen safety protocols and guidelines
- Proper attire including closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing is mandatory
- Students must disclose any food allergies or medical conditions that may affect participation
- Disruptive behaviour, harassment, or violations of safety protocols may result in immediate removal without refund
- Use of personal electronic devices during instruction is discouraged except for note-taking
5. Intellectual Property
All course materials, recipes, techniques, educational content, and teaching methods provided by Squattest are proprietary and protected by intellectual property laws.
- Students may use recipes and techniques for personal cooking purposes
- Commercial reproduction, distribution, or teaching of our proprietary content is prohibited
- Course materials may not be shared outside of the enrolled student's personal use
- Photography or recording of classes requires express permission from instructors
6. Health and Safety
Student safety is our priority. All participants must adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe learning environment.
- Students must inform us of any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions
- We maintain comprehensive insurance but recommend students verify their personal coverage
- Students participate in hands-on activities at their own risk
- Proper hygiene standards must be maintained at all times
- Students feeling unwell should not attend class to protect others
7. Course Changes and Cancellations
Squattest reserves the right to modify course schedules, content, locations, or instructors when necessary due to circumstances beyond our control.
- Students will be notified of significant changes with reasonable advance notice
- If we cancel a course, students will receive a full refund or credit toward another course
- Course content may be updated to reflect current culinary trends and techniques
- We may substitute instructors due to illness or scheduling conflicts
8. Limitation of Liability
Squattest's liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific course. We provide comprehensive instruction but cannot guarantee specific outcomes or career advancement.
- We are not responsible for injuries that may occur during course participation
- Students are responsible for their personal belongings during classes
- We do not guarantee employment or specific culinary skill levels upon completion
- Our liability shall not exceed the course fees paid by the student
9. Privacy and Data Protection
We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Students may cancel enrollment subject to our Refund Policy. Please refer to our separate Refund Policy document for detailed terms and conditions regarding cancellations and refunds.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to enrolled students. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
